Governance

Governance is one of the key pillars of GaCCU. We believe that strong governance is characterized by effectiveness, transparency, accountability, openness, ethics and rule of law. The credit union is run by a Board of unpaid, volunteer Directors elected from our membership. They are responsible for the strategic direction of the credit union and legal compliance. The internal audit function is carried out by a Supervisory Committee which ensures the credit union complies with our rules. The Board is supported by a small team of paid staff based in our office at Adenta, Accra.
